2025 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally – Rules and Policies

The official dates for the 2025 Sturgis Rally are August 1st thru August 10th.

Rally Only – 50% of your total stay would be required to secure your reservation. This non-refundable deposit is required at registration. There is also an additional Site Guarantee Fee of $25 dollars to guarantee your site choice. Full payment is due on March 1st, or at the time of registration thereafter. Unpaid reservations after March 1st may be canceled without notification to the registrant. NO REFUNDS.

Park Rules & Regulations

OFFICE HOURS – Office is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

CHECK IN / CHECK OUT – Check in is 11:00 am, check out is 10:00 am.

WRISTBANDS – Admittance into the park will only be allowed with your Black Hills Vista RV Park wristbands on your right wrist. Upon arrival wristbands will be put on your right arm during check-in; if your guests arrive after your arrival they will need to stop and buy their wristbands before coming into the park.

VISITORS – Guests may visit you but must check-in at the office to receive a temporary wristband. All guests must vacate the park by 9:00 pm or purchase an overnight wristband.

SPEED LIMIT: 5mph, including bicycles. Please watch your downhill speed. Please do so safely and quietly.

SHOWER HOUSE – THE SHOWER HOUSE IS NOT CONTINUALLY SANITIZED, USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. The shower houses are open 24 hours a day, closed between 11:00 am to 1:00 pm for cleaning. However, please use safe discretion in the late hours. South Dakota Law 34-46-14, no smoking in public areas, therefore there is NO smoking allowed inside the shower house. Please DO NOT dispose of household garbage in the shower house garbage can.

SEWER/SEPTIC: Please do not flush any diapers, sanitary napkins, tampons, disposable towelettes, cigarette butts, or razors into the sewer.

COLORS – No “club colors” are allowed to be worn on the property of Black Hills Vista RV Park.

FIRES – NO OPEN FIRES, FIREWORKS or TIKI LANTERNS ALLOWED – This property is located in the FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT AS REGULATED BY THE BLACK HILLS NATIONAL FOREST SERVICE. IT IS ILLEGAL TO SHOOT OFF FIREWORKS or have open fires within the fire protection district. Propane fire pits are allowed.

NO SMOKING: Smoking is not permitted in any of our public buildings. Please discard your butts in appropriate receptacles and not on the park grounds.

RESTRICTIONS: Loaded firearms, bows, fireworks, air rifles, BB guns, other weapons or projectile firing devices are prohibited on property.

AWNINGS – We have high winds that come up “REALLY” fast, we recommend you do not leave your awnings down at night or when you leave the park.

PICNIC TABLES – For those of you who have the plastic picnic tables there are sandbags placed on the leg of the table to weigh it down because of high winds. If you move the table, make sure to place the sandbags back on the legs. DO NOT PLACE HOT GRILLS ON PLASTIC TABLE OR ANCHORING ANY OBJECT TO THE TABLE. IF YOU DISTORT THE TABLE IN ANY WAY, YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE TO REPLACE THE TABLE AT THE COST OF $300.00.

TREES: Please help us protect our trees for future guests! Do not hang anything from or tie anything to the trees. Cutting trees, including branches, carve, drive nails, or mar trees in any manner. Do not dump detergents or other poisonous materials on or around any trees or shrubs.

Wi-Fi – If your device recognizes the 5 Ghz network please use it, if not, then use the 2.4 Ghz network. Do not connect to both networks. This is a public network; you should configure your computer security appropriately. We are not responsible for any hacking that may occur while using the public Wi-Fi. We do not guarantee consistent internet access as usage may vary at times.

GARBAGE – Please put your garbage in the dumpster. There are several garbage dumpsters located throughout the park along the north and south edges of each park. To save room in the dumpsters, please break down cardboard boxes before putting them into the dumpster. Please DO NOT place household garbage in the shower house.

QUIET TIME – 11:00 pm until 7:00 am. Please be considerate to our other guests, loud music and other disturbing circumstances is not allowed in the park. Repeated violation will result in immediate vacating of your site without refund or credit.

BEHAVIOR: We are a family friendly campground, inappropriate behavior or language will not be tolerated. Our policies are enforced to ensure that our guests enjoy their time here. If you or your guest are unwilling to follow our rules, you will be asked to leave and will not receive any refund.

LAUNDRY FACILITIES – Open 24/7, we have three washers and dryers available for your use. Located in the shower houses.

Pet Policy

Our Campgrounds are pet-friendly and welcome our guests who enjoy traveling and sharing their camping experience with the family dog and/or cat. However, to ensure all of our guests have a safe and enjoyable time, it is important that you read and abide by the following pet policy:

  • Aggressive dogs of any breed are not welcome. If your dog shows behavior that is protective and unfriendly to strangers, please leave them home. If you decide to bring your dog and it exhibits this type of behavior, the manager of the campground will ask you to please find other camping accommodations.
  • All pets are required to be under the control and visual observation of their owner at all times. A six foot (6′) leash rule is in effect whenever the animal is outside the owner’s camping trailer, vehicle, cabin, or motorhome. No pet should be left tied up and unattended outside the owner’s camping equipment.
  • Pet owners are required to pick up after their pet while on property.
  • Allowing your pet to bark uncontrollably day or night will not be permitted and you may be asked to leave if you are not able to control your pet’s barking behavior.
  • Service dogs of any breed are welcome. However, these animals must follow leash restraint policies and may not exhibit aggressive behavior.

OIL CHANGING – It is against the law to dump used oil on the ground, so PLEASE DO NOT DISPOSE OF USED OIL ON THE GROUND. IT POLLUTES THE AQUIFER THAT WE DRAW YOUR WATER FROM. A cleanup fee may be applied.

VEHICLES: One vehicle is permitted at each site, two max if the site permits it. A registration ticket is required to be displayed at all times and provided at check-in. Parking arrangements can be made through the office for other vehicles and/or trailers for an additional fee.

The washing of RVs and vehicles is prohibited.

Golf carts, UTVs, electric bikes/scooters are authorized. All other recreational vehicles must be approved by campground management.

HOG HEAVEN – SORRY, ONLY WALKING ACCESS TO HOG HEAVEN CAMPGROUND WILL BE ALLOWED, NO MOTOR VEHICLE ACCESS THRU THE GATE BETWEEN THE TWO PARKS. You are welcome to partake in their happenings, however, there is no access between the parks using motorized vehicles. They offer live music, serve limited spirits, food and vendors. If you plan on going into Hog Heaven’s park you must enter through Black Hills Vista RV Park (west road between the two parks, next to the tower), they will not let you enter through their gate. You must be wearing your Black Hills Vista RV Park wristband.

DAMAGE TO PROPERTY COSTS – The below costs will be your responsibility if you should damage any of the items. Picnic Table $350.00, water spigot $225.00, electrical pedestal $1,400.00, plus tax for all. Cash or credit card payment will be required at time of incident.

If any discrepancy listed above cannot be resolved, we reserve the right to have the site vacated by any means and cost will be applied to the owner of the vehicle(s).
